New Shipping Rates

To our Valued Customers,

Well, the fuel crisis has just struck us close to home. We have not changed our shipping prices in three years. We just finished an audit of our shipping charges and it’s a disaster. Shipping doesn’t have to be a profit center but it sure can’t be a cash drain.

Fed Ex has increased their rates by adding a residential surcharge on delivery and fuel... due to the increase of gasoline that is causing the increase on their end.

We’ve (EYI) has spent the last month studying this carefully and we have come up with a plan that keeps us whole and only raises shipping prices modestly.

EYI's shipping charges were formerly based on percentage rates.  Fed Ex Ground Delivery was 8% product total (7-10 business days); Fed Ex Air Standard Delivery (4-6 business days) was 10% of product total; and Fed Ex Express Air Delivery (3-4 business days) was 15% of product total.  In a lot of ways this caused delivery shipping charges to be expensive.

New Shipping Rates will be figured by weight of the package.  This will be a savings on many orders or could cause some orders to show a slight increase in shipping compared to the former figuration of the percentage of product total.  For larger volume amounts, it will definitely show a decrease in shipping cost via weight compared to percentage of product total.

Thank you.
